Hello all! I am moving from the Seattle area to SF in three months I am looking for some suggestions on where to move. Rent has to be within 1grand-ish range for a room and reasonably unsketchy. I don't drive, so it's gotta be somewhere where I can access the nightlife.

Tue, June 26, 2007 - 8:47 AMOur public transit is pretty good, so provided you avoid: Ingleside, Sunset, and Richmond districts, you'll probably be able to get around easily.
I'd recommend the Mission, Castro, Haight, Potrero Hill or SOMA.
